Are you an early stage SME entrepreneur? Looking for funding or seeking strategies for growth?

9 February 2012

Specially tailored with the entrepreneurial market in mind and based on the curriculum of the award winningReady for Equity ! Academy, these seminars are aimed at addressing these major issues.

Using a combination of slides, case studies and personal experiences, four half day seminars are being delivered by the FSE Group (www.financesoutheast.com), under the umbrella title “Going for Growth”.

·         Team Building - To deliver their plan, entrepreneurs need to learn how to assemble a successful management team. This seminar addresses this issue as well as providing delegates with an understanding of team structure and processes. Other topics covered will be how to manage gaps in the team, the concept of constructive abrasion and when to consider refreshing a team to achieve the next level of growth.

·         Growth Development Strategies - At this seminar delegates will learn about the business development strategies that can be used to generate growth. They will gain an understanding of the current stage of their business and its potential growth curve. Additionally, they will understand about the benefits and risks associated with internationalisation.

·         External Funding - All businesses need access to the right type and level of funding at the appropriate time in order to grow successfully and in line with their plan. At this seminar the various external sources of funding will be examined as well as the criteria for each. The importance of forward planning of future potential funding requirements will be examined.

·         Valuation - Business owners seeking equity investment or contemplating exit will need to prepare a realistic and justifiable valuation of their company. Many methods are used for the valuation of early stage businesses, both formal and informal. This seminar reviews those and is intended to arm the entrepreneur with tools to allow them to negotiate effectively with potential investors.

All the sessions will be led by Paul Delahunty, an accredited Ready for Equity! trainer with many years experience in the SME sector. Each event will also include guest speakers with particular knowledge of the topic being covered. Past delegates at the events have given very positive feedback.

Will Buchanan - Director at RPPTV said, “It was very illuminating. All in all a good series and very helpful in understanding some aspects of this quite major issue.”
