Sponsorship opportunities
The National Launch held on 28 May in London set the cornerstone for the entire campaign - to raise the awareness of, and highlight the importance of Angel Investing as a tool to improving the competitiveness of the UK economy.
Marketing and PR campaign
As part of the Campaign the BBAA will be launching a major media campaign at national and regional level which will aim to include both media and broadcast through features, articles and interviews. Sponsors will be actively encouraged to interact with the media and the whole PR campaign by providing content and interviews and links to your own PR strategy. A specific media partner is also being sought.
This dedicated area of the website for the Campaign will be used as a "promotion hub" and will include news on what is happening nationally and regionally and will be the key reference point for the Campaign including downloadable tools and applications.
Each Sponsor will be given a section within this area to profile services as well as including any of forthcoming events, publications, tools or news directly relevant to the campaign.
All printed and electronic promotional material will include Sponsors logos.
Regional Campaign Events
The BBAA Awareness Campaign organised in each of the nine regions will focus on targeted marketing, working with local intermediaries and key strategic alliances and regional agencies to reach relevant sources of potential and active Angel investors. A main awareness event will be held in each region and will be organised by the Angel networks in that area with the view to raising awareness of opportunities available to Angel investors and the services offered by each of the localNetworks. The event will also detail proposed activities in that particular region and how those interested can become involved.
This initial event will be followed by a new angel induction workshop to offer more detailed information about the investment process, tax and legal issues, including issues such as syndication, self regulation rules and also to enable the individual to decide if this is right for them and to discuss further with the business angel network representatives their interests and capacity.
These regional events allow direct opportunities for Sponsors to engage directly with potential and current clients by working through your own regional/local branches, highlighting and presenting your services to the early stage market and high net worth individuals as well as getting involved at a technical level in supporting the delivery of these local
workshops.
